Petra & Jordan Day Trip from Sharm El Sheikh
Petra is a historic and archaeological city in southern Jordan (the Maan region), famous for its architecture and rock-cut water system. Petra is also called the Rose City because of the color of the stone it was carved from.
Probably founded as early as 312 BC as the capital of the Nabataeans, it is a symbol of Jordan and one of its most visited attractions. Petra was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1985 and chosen by Smithsonian Magazine as one of the "28 places to see before you die".
