Kom Ombo and Aswan from Marsa Alam

Kom Ombo is a city located about 50 km south of Aswan. The most valuable preserved object is the temple erected by Tuthmosis III, then it was expanded by Ptolemies. The temple is devoted to two Thames deities. Each of them has its own chambers and sanctuaries. On the eastern side, we see the crocodile god Sobek with his wife and son. On the west side, Horus the Elder with his wife and son. On the right side, there is a small chapel dedicated to Hathor. There are a mummified crocodile and several crocodile coffins. An interesting object is the ruins of a deep well with the Nilometer.

Aswan is the largest city in the south. There we will see the island of Fiela, where there is a complex of temples of the goddess Isis. At the end of the trip, we will see the Great Aswan Dam.
